Roller Reefing Genoas

This durable Reefing Genoa includes features that complement today’s headsail furling systems. Inclusions are foam luff pad, reefing reinforcements and UV leech and foot covers.

The crescent shaped closed cell foam luff pad helps maintain a smooth aerodynamic shape while reefed. The pad adds bulk to the centre of the furl, which both flattens the sail as you reef and creates a smoother roll, without unsightly creases.

To prolong sail life, we have added reinforced reef points on the leech and foot that help eliminate the distortion and wear that can occur after repeated reefing. While the sacrificial leech and foot covers protect your sail from the harmful effects of the sun’s UV rays when the sail is furled and away.

Strong and durable these sails are custom built to give cruising sailors all advantages of a full luff Genoa that efficiently reefs to a small jib.

Standard – A durable cross-cut dacron sail and the most affordable option.

Tri-radial Dacron – Our most popular furling sail.  Tri-radial construction enables us to create lightweight furling sails that set well in light air, with the durability and strength to keep performing when the breeze kicks-in.

Tri-radial Laminate – Designed to take advantage of composite laminate materials with a bi-radial or tri-radial articulated panel layout that aligns the cloths’ threadlines to the sails’ primary load paths.
